We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at Tankersley Manor. This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a professional brigade, working in well-equipped kitchens and serving high-quality dishes while developing your skills under the guidance of our highly respected Head Chef.
This role offers a 4-day working week, based on 4 x 10-hour shifts, supporting a strong work-life balance while maintaining a dynamic and rewarding kitchen environment.
Situated on the outskirts of Barnsley, Tankersley Manor Hotel & Spa features 98 bedrooms, The Woodman Bar & Kitchen and extensive function facilities for weddings and events. Just a short drive from Sheffield, the hotel is one of South Yorkshire’s leading wedding and leisure destinations.
We are looking for a Chef de Partie with solid experience in a similar role, working in a kitchen that takes pride in the quality of its food. Strong cooking skills and product knowledge are essential, along with consistency, reliability, and a willingness to learn and adapt within a fast-paced team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up correct portion control and mise en place for service
- Prepare and cook food to agreed company standards
- Assist with stock control, rotation, and daily food stock checks
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety compliance
What We’re Looking For:
- Food Hygiene qualification (CIEH or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie in a similar environment
- Strong understanding of Food Safety, HACCP, and COSHH
- A positive, reliable, and professional attitude
- Team players who are cheerful, self-aware, articulate, and caring
