About K3 Moves
K3 Moves is a growing, family-owned UK vehicle logistics business. We move vehicles on trade plates for major dealership groups, fleet operators, auction houses, and leasing companies right across the country. We're based at Kitteon House in Kettering, and we're investing seriously in the technology, people, and systems that set us apart.
The Role
We're looking for a Planner (Live Operations) to join our planning team. Our two existing Planners focus on the week ahead. This new role takes the lead on the current day; keeping the live operation running smoothly, and being the office point of contact for our contractor driver base.
You'll also lead our driver training sessions at the Kettering office on Thursdays, fortnightly at first and then monthly once the team has settled.
Core hours are 9am to 5pm, with flexibility at the shoulders of the day when the operation needs it. The role also joins a 1-in-3 out-of-hours rota with the other two Planners, covering genuine emergencies only.
What You'll Be Doing
- Taking the lead on live operations each day, working closely with the wider planning team
- Responding to change as it happens and making quick, sensible decisions
- Building strong working relationships with our drivers and upholding our standards
- Leading driver-facing conversations on performance and conduct
- Delivering our driver training programme at Kettering
- Supporting the admin team on recruitment, onboarding, and expense queries
What We're Looking For
- Someone calm under pressure, quick to make decisions, and comfortable holding the line with drivers and customers
- A track record of working to deadlines and juggling competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good Microsoft 365 skills and a solid feel for UK geography
- A full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK
- Trade plate or vehicle-movement industry experience is a big plus; any transport, haulage, courier, or control-room planning experience is relevant and transferable
- Willingness to run training sessions for small groups of new drivers
What We Offer
- £30,000 per annum, PAYE, plus a bonus structure launching during 2026
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, based at our Kettering office with flexibility where it makes sense
- A role with real ownership: not an hourly clock-watching job
- The chance to shape how we look after our driver base as we grow
- A supportive team and a business that's investing in the right places
