Overview
Would you take pride in ensuring beautifully presented hotel rooms and delivering exceptional standards of cleanliness? We are looking for a keen, reliable, efficient housekeeper/cleaner to join our small and friendly team at our boutique hotel in North Oxford, focusing on 'Quality, Elegance, Comfort'.
The role typically involves 4-hour shifts from 10am-2pm, ideally including some weekends. The position will begin on a zero-hours basis, with the opportunity to move into a permanent contract for the right candidate. Hours are likely to be 8-12 per week, (ie. 2-3 days per week).
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a genuine sense of pride in their work. You will play a key role in ensuring our rooms and common areas are maintained to the highest standards, providing a welcoming and immaculate environment for our guests.
Duties
- Ensure thorough cleaning of guest rooms and bathrooms, using established check-lists, including dusting, vacuuming, cleaning all surfaces and ensure the rooms are beautifully presented
- Ensure an extra thorough deep-cleaning of guest rooms and bathrooms as requested, following established check-lists
- Ensure thorough cleaning of all public areas, as requested
- Change bed linens and towels as per established protocols
- Restock supplies and maintain order in housekeeping cupboards
- Report any maintenance issues/left items or safety hazards to management promptly
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment
- Provide excellent customer service by being friendly to guests and responding to any requests courteously and efficiently
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality cleaning is essential
- Must be able to work some weekends
- Must have proof of Right to Work in the UK. Please do NOT apply if you cannot provide this
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and checklists carefully and correctly
- Excellent time management skills, able to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A positive, friendly attitude, with a commitment to providing outstanding service
