Wilson Associates Ltd are recruiting a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our Engineering clients team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting various operational activities across their site, ensuring smooth workflow and maintaining safety standards. The role involves physical labour, adherence to safety protocols, and teamwork to achieve organisational goals. ideally come from and engineering or manufacturing background
Initially this will be a dayshift Labouring role, while being trained to on dressing and small shot blasting.
Responsibilities
- Carry out manual tasks such as lifting, moving, and stacking materials in accordance with safety guidelines
- Operate shot blasting tools/ machinery;
- Inspect parts prior to carrying out your work
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to promote a safe working environment
- Follow instructions from supervisors regarding specific tasks and project requirements
- Operate basic tools and machinery safely under supervision
- Report any hazards or safety concerns immediately to management
Skills
- FLT Experience
- Shot Blasting experience desireable but not essential
- Good physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour over extended periods
- Ability to follow safety procedures diligently and work in accordance with health & safety regulations
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a team
- Basic knowledge of manual handling techniques is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment
