Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Zero Hours Pharmacy Delivery Driver (who must have their own vehicle ) to join our team. For this flexible part time role the ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering prescriptions and medication safely and efficiently from our pharmacy in the Leeds area to our patients and the care homes we service. We are looking for someone who is flexible, friendly and diligent and who has excellent communication skills and be able to handle some lifting, ensuring that deliveries are made in a timely manner while adhering to all safety regulations.
The position is zero hours but there will be regular hours to make deliveries so would ideally suit someone looking for a part time or flexible position
Duties
- Safely deliver prescription medication to patients and care homes in the Leeds area.
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of lifting tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered using our pharmdel delivery system
- Communicate effectively with pharmacy staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies while driving to ensure safety on the road.
- Cover holidays for the other driver if they are off
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver is preferred (ideally in pharmacy)
- Pleasant and helpful nature for a positive customer experience
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with team members and customers.
- A clean valid driving licence appropriate is required.
