Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our team and oversee all aspects of operations. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a passionate hospitality professional who thrives in a busy, guest-centric environment and has a proven track record in hotel or hospitality management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and operational oversight of the hotel, including front of house, housekeeping, food & beverage, reservations and events.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive guest satisfaction, revenue, and profitability.
- Collaborate with our People Team to recruit, train, mentor and motivate a high-performing team, fostering a positive culture which aligns with Our Why and Values.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and cost control to achieve business targets and operational goals.
- Ensure high standards of service quality, cleanliness, health & safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Act as the public face of the hotel, responding to guest feedback and building relationships with clients and partners.
- Collaborate with the ownership on marketing, promotions and strategic growth initiatives.
About You
- Proven experience in a senior hospitality or hotel management role.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Commercially astute with the ability to manage budgets and performance indicators.
- Excellent customer service ethos and ability to resolve guest issues effectively.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required in a hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of human resources practices related to recruitment, training, and employee relations.
- Proficiency in using hotel management software and technology systems is preferred.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a hotel or hospitality environment
- A minimum of 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
- A strong understanding of restaurant, bar and hotel operations
- Personal license holder
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
