The Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Cleaning & Waste Operative to join our Birmingham team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental waste management across the warehouse and yard facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- General Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness throughout the warehouse, staff facilities, and designated operational areas.
- Waste Management: Collect, segregate, and safely dispose of operational waste, recycling materials, and packaging.
- Facility Maintenance: Operate cleaning equipment and ensure sweeping/scrubbing duties are completed efficiently.
- Health & Safety: Maintain clear walkways and work areas to prevent accidents and comply with company health and safety guidelines.
- Inventory of Supplies: Monitor stocks of cleaning chemicals, waste bags, and hygiene materials, reporting shortages when necessary.
Requirements & Skills
- Previous experience in a warehouse cleaning or waste management role is preferred, but training will be provided.
- Strong work ethic with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness to handle manual tasks throughout the shift.
- Awareness of health, safety, and COSHH regulations is an advantage.
