Duties
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques and materials to meet project specifications.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently for construction, repair, and maintenance work.
- Execute carpentry duties such as framing, fitting, and finishing work on structures or fixtures.
- Conduct masonry work including bricklaying, blockwork, and related activities to build or repair walls and surfaces.
- Carry out roofing tasks such as installation, repairs, or inspections to ensure structural integrity.
- Undertake heavy lifting and manual handling of materials to support project requirements.
- Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of materials or equipment as needed.
- Assist with specialised tasks requiring mechanical knowledge or technical expertise across various trades.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding, carpentry, masonry, roofing, or related trades is highly desirable.
- Practical knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in construction or maintenance environments.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to troubleshooting or operating machinery is advantageous.
- Experience with heavy lifting tasks in physically demanding roles.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and experience operating large vehicles is preferred but not essential.
- Prior exposure to working in construction sites or maintenance projects will be considered an asset. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards. Candidates should be physically fit and prepared for manual labour in diverse environments.
Pay: £26.00-£31.00 per hour
