We are partnering with a reputable automotive workshop in Basildon, Essex, to recruit a skilled Vehicle Technician. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with strong diagnostic and repair capabilities to join a well-established team committed to delivering high-quality vehicle servicing and diagnostics.
Benefits:
- Up to £48,000 basic salary per annum
- OTE exceeding £55,000 including bonuses and overtime

Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models
- Perform servicing tasks including cambelts, clutches, timing chains, wet belts, and gearbox work
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills with a good all-round knowledge of vehicle maintenance
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and in line with manufacturer standards
- Maintain high standards of workshop safety and cleanliness
- Liaise effectively with team members and customers to ensure smooth workflow and clear communication
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic skills
- Time-served or qualified to a recognised standard in vehicle repair
- A versatile all-rounder capable of handling servicing, diagnostics, and complex repairs
- Demonstrates a professional, tidy work ethic with a focus on quality workmanship
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Genuine enthusiasm for automotive repair and ongoing professional development
