TENANT LIAISON OFFICER – KITCHEN & BATHROOM UPGRADES

Firstcall Trade Services Ltd is looking for an organised, approachable and confident Tenant Liaison Officer to support a major kitchen and bathroom upgrade programme in occupied Council homes across Edinburgh.
You will act as the main point of contact between tenants, our site teams and the client, helping to ensure that residents are fully informed, supported and prepared throughout the works.
THE ROLE
Your responsibilities will include:
- Contacting tenants to arrange surveys, appointments and installation dates
- Explaining the scope of the kitchen and bathroom works and what tenants should expect
- Supporting tenants with colour and finish selections
- Carrying out pre-start visits and ensuring tenants are ready for work to begin
- Maintaining regular communication with tenants throughout the installation
- Providing additional support to elderly, vulnerable or anxious residents
- Responding professionally to questions, concerns and complaints
- Liaising closely with the Contracts Manager, Site Foreman, operatives and client representatives
- Providing tenants with updates regarding access, delays or changes to the programme
- Keeping accurate records of calls, visits, appointments and tenant communications
- Monitoring tenant satisfaction and helping to resolve issues promptly
- Attending site and progress meetings when required
- Completing post-work satisfaction checks and gathering feedback
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, patient and confident when dealing with people
- An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Organised and able to manage several appointments and priorities
- Calm and professional when handling concerns or difficult situations
- Understanding of the needs of residents living in occupied properties
- Comfortable working between the office and sites across Edinburgh
- Confident using email, Microsoft Office and electronic record systems
- Able to work independently while remaining part of a wider project team
Previous experience in tenant liaison, resident engagement, housing, customer service or construction would be advantageous. Experience supporting kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes or working within social housing is desirable but not essential.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle would be preferred.
