Salary/Hourly Rate: £14.05 per hour (Sat £0.50, Sun £1.00 per hour extra enhancement)
Location: Southend on Sea, SS0 0RY
Reporting to: Restaurant Manager
Hours/Working Pattern: 35 hours per week (Sunday - Saturday 6am to 1.30pm, Mon - Wed 12.30pm to 8pm)
Contractual Requirements: Candidate must be aged 18+ and willing to undergo a DBS check

We’re currently recruiting for an ambitious Apprentice Supervisor to join our team and help deliver exceptional experiences for on a full-time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week.
This role offers the opportunity to undertake either a Level 3 Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship or the Level 3 Operations Team Leader Apprenticeship, you will work alongside a passionate and supportive team, gaining hands-on experience while developing your skills through structured training. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will achieve a nationally recognised qualification and develop the skills, knowledge and experience needed to build a successful career in Healthcare Catering Management.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Support the Restaurant Manager with daily restaurant operations

Supervise, organise and support a front-of-house team of up to 7 employees

Deliver excellent customer service and professionally resolve enquiries, complaints and feedback

Monitor food and beverage service to maintain quality and presentation standards

Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling and daily reporting

Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, and company policies

Train, coach and develop new and existing team members

Support stock control, ordering and inventory management

Have previous experience in hospitality, retail or customer service, including handling customer enquiries or complaints

Have experience leading a small team, group or activity, and aspire to progress into a supervisory or management position

Possess basic numeracy, literacy and IT skills, including confidence using EPOS systems and handling cash

Demonstrate awareness of health and safety practices and hold, or be willing to obtain, a Food Hygiene Certificate during employment
