Assistant Store Manager (Central London)

Your objectives
As the Store Manager's right hand, you will assist them across the full range of their duties.
Main missions
- Ensure the day-to-day running of the shop in the manager's absence
- Follow the Store Manager's instructions and help them carry out their daily tasks and meet their objectives
- Contribute to turnover growth and the achievement of the shop's targets
- Take part in the management and training of the teams
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Assist with the daily team briefing to communicate collective and individual daily tasks for meeting objectives
- Help the Store Manager ensure all procedures are followed
- In the Store Manager's absence, act as the head office point of contact, including for sending staff-related information
Achieving turnover targets
- Contribute to performance development and the achievement of targets set by the group (both quantitative and qualitative)
- Get the team on board with individual and/or collective objectives and set targets for the team, monitoring progress
- Track results and put in place actions to meet the targets set by management, in line with budgetary control
- Coordinate all activity, liaising with all departments across the company
- Know the GEOX products and patents, and learn the capsules (to help boost sales)
- Understand the strengths and challenges of our brand and our business
- Be able to analyse our business and translate strategy into a concrete action plan, following through on its implementation
Desired experience, training and skills
- Proficient in office software (Word, Excel)
- Skilled in stock management techniques
- Ability to anticipate
- Strong interpersonal skills: listening to colleagues to help organise the stockroom and monitor bestsellers
- Ability to self-reflect and adapt
You're a natural salesperson with a passion for retail. Pragmatic, you want to be part of a genuine company project.
You're also comfortable with figures and analysing them.
With a business-related qualification, you have at least 2–3 years' experience in this type of role.
