We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Water Framework team based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.
Location: Harpenden, Hertfordshire
Hours: 45 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a vital role in the commercial management of construction projects within our Water Framework. Working closely with the project delivery team, you'll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction planning through to successful project completion. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills whilst contributing to meaningful infrastructure projects.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering contractual control and cost management across diverse projects. Your day to day will include:
- Working alongside the project delivery team to ensure contractual control and cost management of projects across different sectors
- Managing commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement through to interim and final account agreement
- Being involved in final account negotiations to ensure the best possible outcomes
- Supporting projects throughout the full lifecycle with involvement across pre-construction through to project delivery
- Promoting wellbeing within your team and fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity is actively encouraged
What are we looking for?
This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
- You hold a relevant academic qualification in a Construction related degree
- You hold a Full driving licence
- You have prior experience working in a Commercial role for a contractor
- You have experience with a variety of contract forms
- You have the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
