AG Toft Garage Ltd has proudly served the local community since 1985, providing honest, professional vehicle repairs, MOT testing, diagnostics, servicing, welding and in later years specialist horsebox repairs all to equate to over 41 years trading.
we are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Vehicle Repair & MOT Garage Manager to oversee the daily running of our busy workshop.
Whilst experience within the motor trade would be a significant advantage, we are equally interested in exceptional managers from other industries who possess outstanding organisational skills, excellent customer service and the ability to lead a small team.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our workshop whilst delivering first-class customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting customers and discussing repair requirements.
- Booking vehicles into the workshop.
- Preparing quotations and estimates.
- Explaining repairs in a clear, professional manner.
- Scheduling work and allocating jobs to technicians.
- Ordering parts and managing suppliers.
- Costing labour and parts accurately.
- Keeping customers informed throughout repairs.
- Preparing invoices and processing payments.
- Monitoring customer accounts and month-end statements.
- Supporting workshop productivity and efficiency.
- Working alongside the team whenever required.
- Maintaining the high standards and reputation of AG Toft Garage.
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Has excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Is calm under pressure and enjoys a busy environment.
- Can confidently communicate with customers face-to-face, over the telephone and by email.
- Can prioritise workloads and solve problems efficiently.
- Is confident using computers and office software.
- Builds lasting relationships with customers.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
- Has a positive, can-do attitude.
- Wants to be part of a close-knit family business.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Previous management or supervisory experience.
- Experience within the motor trade or vehicle repair industry.
- Experience preparing estimates or quotations.
- Workshop, service advisor or customer service experience.
