Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC-R equipment including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret mechanical schematics and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Lead maintenance tasks and oversee equipment repairs to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.
- Conduct routine inspections of HVAC-R systems to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Collaborate with construction teams during system installations or upgrades, providing technical guidance as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, and system performance for compliance and future reference.
- Provide mentorship to junior technicians, sharing knowledge on equipment repair techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC-R systems installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Ability to read and understand schematics, technical manuals, and construction drawings.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring team members.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, air conditioning systems, and ventilation equipment.
- Experience working with construction teams during system installations or upgrades is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
- Relevant certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling or HVAC-R licenses are preferred but not mandatory.
