CNC Maintenance Technician

We're working with a growing high-performance engineering manufacturer in Northampton that is looking to add an experienced CNC Maintenance Technician to its Maintenance team.
This is a hands-on role supporting a busy manufacturing facility with a wide range of CNC machine tools and associated equipment. You'll be responsible for keeping machinery running, identifying and resolving faults, and driving a proactive approach to preventative maintenance.
What you'll be doing:
- Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance across CNC machine tools and manufacturing equipment
- Fault-finding and diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues to minimise machine downtime
- Implementing and completing planned preventative maintenance and TPM schedules
- Supporting continuous improvement across machinery, equipment and maintenance processes
What we're looking for:
- Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience within a CNC machining/manufacturing environment
- Experience working with Fanuc 18i, 30i/31i and/or Heidenhain iTNC 530 controlled CNC machinery
- Strong fault-finding skills across CNC machinery, plant and ancillary equipment
- NVQ Level 3, HNC, ONC or equivalent, ideally backed by an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship
Experience with ABB/Fanuc robotic cells, FMS systems or CNC field service engineering would be beneficial, although training can be provided in some areas.
This would suit a CNC Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Engineer who enjoys getting hands-on with machinery, solving problems and working in an environment where machine uptime is critical.
