We’ve partnered with a leading aerospace and advanced manufacturing company that is seeking a Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Control Technician to support the setup and operation of a new manufacturing facility in Southern California.
This is a hands-on position responsible for the receiving, movement, storage and traceability of large raw materials, including oversized plate, sheet and bar stock. You’ll play an important role in establishing robust inventory control processes and ensuring materials are accurately tracked within an AS9100-regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, move and store large raw materials used in manufacturing and fabrication
- Operate heavy-duty forklifts and work with overhead cranes to safely move oversized materials
- Complete inventory transactions, put-aways and material movements within a digital warehouse management system (WMS)
- Maintain accurate material identification and traceability in line with AS9100 requirements
- Support the development and implementation of new inventory control and traceability processes
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving and inventory documentation
- Support audits and ensure materials are stored and documented correctly
- Work closely with manufacturing, quality and operations teams
Requirements
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control or material handling within aerospace, defence, shipbuilding or heavy manufacturing
- Experience handling large raw materials, including plate, sheet and/or bar stock
- Experience with heavy-duty forklifts, rigging and overhead cranes
- Strong experience using WMS, ERP or digital inventory systems
- Understanding of material traceability within a regulated manufacturing environment
- Comfortable working extended hours and overtime when required
- AS9100 experience strongly preferred
Contract Details
- Location: Southern California – On-site
- Duration: Initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension or permanent conversion
- Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
- Hours: Significant overtime available, providing strong overall earning potential

Pay: Up to £50.00 per hour
