Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic person to join our dynamic team on the beautiful Isle of Skye at the start of September. In the role of a General Assistant (£13.65/hour), you will support various operations within our establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and warm Highland hospitality. This position is ideal for a person with a passion for food and hospitality, looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment. We are a very friendly team, that support each other and enjoy what we do. We ensure a good work-life balance so that you have time to explore our beautiful island. Duties
- Support serving staff during busy periods, providing assistance with orders and customer service.
- Engage in upselling menu items to enhance the dining experience for guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and efficient workflow.
- Assist with Housekeeping or Reception, as required.
Skills
- Previous restaurant and housekeeping experience is advantageous, but full training will be given.
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols and hygiene standards.
- Basic math skills for handling orders and inventory management.
- Time management abilities to effectively prioritise tasks during peak hours.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively.
- A proactive attitude towards upselling and enhancing customer satisfaction.
