As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an enthusiastic Assistant / Trainee Underfloor Heating Installer to join our team and develop into a Underfloor Heating Installer.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the plumbing and heating industry.
Working alongside experienced installers, you will learn every aspect of underfloor heating installation while assisting with day-to-day site operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the installation of underfloor heating systems on residential and commercial projects.
- Loading, unloading and organising materials and equipment.
- Preparing work areas before installation.
- Measuring and laying insulation, pipework and fixing systems.
- Assisting with screed floor milling for retrofit underfloor heating installations.
- Completing digital records and installation documentation using electronic forms, including client handover records and quality assurance checks.
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe.
- Always following site health and safety procedures.
- Travelling to sites across Essex, London, Kent, Hertfordshire and Suffolk.
- Learning installation techniques from experienced team members.
Full in-house training will be provided.
What We're Looking For
Essential requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Willingness to travel to different sites.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
Desirable:
- An interest in plumbing, heating or the construction industry.
- Previous site or labouring experience (not essential).
Career Progression
This role is designed as the first step towards becoming a fully trained Underfloor Heating Installer.
You'll receive hands-on training from experienced installers, gaining practical knowledge and skills with opportunities to progress as your experience grows.
