Aspect Flooring has been established for over 40 years, supplying and installing high‑quality flooring for new build, commercial, and domestic projects. Our head office is based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, and we currently operate across multiple regions, from Northamptonshire down to Hampshire.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Contracts Supervisor to report into our Contracts Manager - coordinating activities across all live sites. The successful candidate will ideally have experience in flooring installation methods or a construction-based background within the new build sector. Strong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills are essential for this role. We offer a competitive salary (dependent on experience) and excellent opportunities for career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site plot measurements and calculate required materials for installation, including carpet and vinyl sheet planning.
- Conduct subfloor inspections and damp testing ahead of installation schedules.
- Perform pre- and post-installation quality control checks on site.
- Consult with site teams and monitor project timelines, ensuring deadlines and targets are met.
- Attend a weekly internal management meeting, providing updates on project progress and maintaining accurate project documentation.
- Conduct customer care inspections when required.
Requirements:
- Proactive, with a direct and solution-focused approach
- Full UK driving license.
- Flexibility with working hours, start times and travel to various site locations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of flooring materials, techniques and installation methods is preferred (training can be provided)
- Understanding of surveying techniques and modern flooring solutions is advantageous (training available)
- MUST HAVE FLOORING EXPERIENCE
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Flooring or construction industry experience
- CSCS Card
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification (preferred, but not essential)
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements on construction sites
- Confident use of measuring tools (e.g., tape/laser measures, spirit levels)
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, professional attitude
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
