We are looking for two enthusiastic and customer-focused Council Information Centre Advisors to join our busy front-line team, delivering essential services to our communities. As the first point of contact for the Council, you will play a key role in helping residents, businesses and visitors access the information and support they need; meaning you will make a real difference every day.
Working in a fast-paced and supportive environment, you will handle a wide variety of enquiries across multiple channels, including telephone, email and webchat. From resolving issues at first contact to guiding customers through council services, you will provide clear, accurate advice while delivering a high standard of customer care. No two enquiries are the same, making this a varied and rewarding role.
You will bring excellent communication and listening skills, along with experience in a customer service environment. Calm under pressure, you will be confident dealing with a high volume of enquiries, including more complex or sensitive situations, while maintaining professionalism and empathy. As this role involves communicating with members of the public, you must be able to converse confidently in accurate spoken English. As a strong team player, you will also be comfortable using a range of IT systems and committed to delivering efficient, high-quality service.
