Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of a reputable nursing home specialising in senior care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading a team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall running of the care home, ensuring exceptional standards of assisted living and nursing care are maintained.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to residents’ individual needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
- Supervise and support staff, including nurses, carers, and administrative personnel, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership and supervision.
- Oversee medication administration procedures in compliance with legal and safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines related to care home operations.
- Monitor quality assurance processes, conducting audits and assessments to uphold high standards of care delivery.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive resident support.
- Manage budgets, resources, and staffing levels efficiently to optimise service provision.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement centred around resident wellbeing and staff development.
Experience
- Proven experience in nursing home management or senior care settings, preferably within assisted living or dementia care environments.
- Strong background in nursing or healthcare management with knowledge of care planning, medication administration, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with previous supervising or managerial experience within a care home or similar setting.
- Familiarity with Alzheimer’s and dementia-related conditions, including specialised care approaches such as Alzheimer’s care programmes.
- Experience in managing teams effectively whilst maintaining high standards of resident safety and satisfaction.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation governing residential and nursing care facilities is essential.
