Permanent / Associate Speech and Language Therapist

We are a friendly and dedicated multidisciplinary team, offering comprehensive psychological assessments and therapy to children and families post adoption and families affected by trauma. We undertake Autism, ADHD, and FASD assessments, and further training will be offered for this. The job is currently paid on an hourly / day rate basis as an associate, with opportunity to potentially undertake a permanent position.
We are looking to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist wishing to specialise in multi-disciplinary neurodevelopmental assessments. The role involves undertaking assessments alongside colleagues, and further training will be provided for this.
The role will also involve providing support to children who have been adopted, who are in care, or under special guardianship who are presenting with communication difficulties. You also may provide input to Alternative Provisions and Specialist Educations Provisions.
To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:
To maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping including electronic data entry and recording, report writing
To contribute to multi disciplinary team meetings, working with others in clinical decision making
Effectively communicate with neurodiverse children, young people and adults, families, internal and external staff
Work within the framework of your regulatory body, and ensure professional registration is maintained
Contribute to audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service
Previous experience and qualifications:
Qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
Training in ADOS-2 is highly desirable, although further training will be provided
Experience working with children and young autistic people
