Job Summary
The Early Stages teacher is responsible for the planning and execution of performing arts training for our 4-6 year olds. This role requires a creative individual with a passion for the arts, who can effectively communicate with both children and parents, and who can successfully manage a roomful of young children. (You will have an assistant). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the development of our school.
Duties include
- Planning and delivering performing arts classes that engage the children.
- Collaborating with the Principal to plan and execute termly informal performances for parents.
- Maintaining a safe and encouraging environment for the children at all times.
Qualifications, desirable qualities
- Qualification or relevant experience in performing arts
- Energetic and warm personality, with knowledge of appropriate discipline for this age group
- Strong organisational skills
- DBS essential but can be arranged
- First Aid certificate desirable but not essential
- You will need your own speaker for any music played in the class; other materials will be provided
- A genuine passion for teaching - this is not a job you can just 'phone in'

This is a weekly 90-minute class which runs on Saturday mornings 9:30-11am, and which is paid at £54.00 per session (£648.00 per term). It would therefore ideally suit someone local to the venue, and who is looking for an additional job alongside uni or other employment. Term starts on 12th Sept 2026, however we can discuss job share if the ideal candidate is unable to commit to every Saturday.
