Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper specialised in Indian Gujarati cuisine to support our culinary team. The successful candidate will assist with meal and food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure smooth operation during service hours. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Support the team in meal assembly, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation requirements.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all kitchen activities.
- Help with cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces regularly.
- Organise ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.
- Serve food to customers in a courteous and professional manner when required.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment for all staff members.
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of Indian Gujarati cuisine or willingness to learn traditional cooking techniques is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
