Duty Manager with Seasonal Department – Bradley Fold Garden Centres
Location: On-site at Bradley Fold Garden Centre | Hours: full time including weekends
We’re looking for a confident, proactive Duty Manager with Seasonal Department responsibilities to join our team at Bradley Fold Garden Centre.
This is a varied and hands-on role where you’ll support the day-to-day running of the garden centre while helping lead and develop the seasonal department. You’ll be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, supporting and motivating the team, maintaining high retail standards, and ensuring the department remains well-presented, fully stocked, and commercially appealing throughout seasonal changes and promotional events.
As part of the management team, you’ll help oversee daily operations, key holding, opening and closing procedures, staff supervision, support merchandising and stock control, and contribute to creating a welcoming and engaging shopping experience for all customers.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll take responsibility for a wide range of duties within the Seasonal department which includes Outdoor Living (including garden furniture) & Christmas departments:
- You will be responsible for implementing our Outdoor Living & Christmas retail strategies, ensuring seasonal ranges and displays are commercially effective, visually inspiring, and aligned with company standards
- Delivering excellent customer service and supporting customers with enquiries, purchases, and product advice
- Assisting in the day-to-day management and smooth operation of the seasonal department
- Supporting and motivating team members to maintain high standards across the shop floor
- Maintaining clean, tidy, safe, and visually appealing displays at all times
- Overseeing stock replenishment and ensuring accurate pricing and signage throughout the department
- Supporting stock control, deliveries, and the efficient movement of stock from the warehouse to the shop floor
- Assisting with merchandising, seasonal changes, promotions, and department displays
- Helping coordinate shop floor layout changes and department organisation where required
- Working collaboratively with the wider management team to maintain high operational and customer service standards across the garden centre
What We’re Looking For
- Previous retail experience is essential supervisory or management experience preferred Strong leadership and organisational skills
- A friendly, approachable manner with a strong focus on customer service
- A hands-on attitude and willingness to get involved in all aspects of the role
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Practical skills and confidence with assembling products
- A proactive approach to maintaining standards and improving displays

Pay: Up to £30,000.00 per year
