Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) - Day One Service

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Health Nurse to join our Day One Service on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a hybrid role combining home-based working with occasional office attendance as required following a period of training and successful completion of probation.
The successful candidate will work a rota covering a mix of weekdays, weekends and nights, based on three long shifts per week (13.3 hours per shift). Rota planning will be undertaken to ensure service coverage across operating hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Early absence management interventions
- Manage inbound and outbound calls in line with Day One service requirements.
- Provide clinical advice and guidance relating to absence management and fitness for work.
- Accurately document consultations and maintain confidential clinical records.
- Liaise with employees, managers, and clients in a professional and supportive manner.
- Contribute to service quality, clinical governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse (NMC)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities.
- Good IT skills with experience of electronic case management systems.
- Ability to work independently within a remote/hybrid environment.
- Flexibility to participate in a rota covering weekdays, weekends, and night shifts.

About You
We're looking for a compassionate and motivated nurse who can communicate effectively and work confidently in a busy clinical environment.
To be successful, you'll have:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) status with a valid NMC PIN and no restrictions.
- A minimum of 6 months' UK-based clinical experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
- Strong IT skills, including the ability to talk and type simultaneously.
- Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
Previous Occupational Health experience is desirable but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
