Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable self-employed courier/driver to join our dynamic delivery team. This role is perfect for individuals who possess a passion for driving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle logistics efficiently. As a key part of our delivery network, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods using a Long Wheel Base (LWB) van. This opportunity offers flexibility and independence while contributing to a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Long Wheel Base (LWB) van to deliver parcels and goods across designated routes
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines
- Communicate clearly with clients and team members regarding delivery times and any issues encountered
- Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs and proof of delivery records
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs
- Follow all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with commercial driving background
- Valid driver’s license suitable for operating an LWB van; driver certification is advantageous
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is beneficial for understanding inventory handling
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical strength and stamina
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools
- Prior experience in driving or courier roles that require punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail
