Overview
We are seeking dedicated Waiter's to join our team here at Scotts Kitchen. The ideal candidate should have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences.
Responsibilities
A waiter's main responsibility is to ensure that the customers have an enjoyable dining experience.
- Greeting customers as they settle down at the cafe or restaurant tables and introducing them to the menus.
- A waiter should have excellent service skills, they should greet customers in a polite and friendly manner, provide them with menus and suggest seasonal specials.
- Taking the customers orders and delivering them to the kitchen staff for preparation.
- Confirming that the food items match the orders and delivering them at the tables.
- Operating the drink fountain and coffee station.
- Inquiring if the customers are satisfied, giving bills and processing payments.
- Waiters are also the point of contact for bills and the refunds of any funds.
- Depending on the restaurant, waiters also perform several front-of-house duties such as cleaning the tables after customers.
- Attending regular meetings with restaurant and kitchen managers to find out about menu changes and menu specials.
Experience
The successful candidate should possess:
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic maths skills for order taking and bill calculation
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is advantage but not essential.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations is a plus but not essential.
- A helpful attitude and a passion for guest services
