Multi Skills Technician – Further Education College
Location: Stratford, East London
Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Contract: Temporary
Start Date: Within the next 2 weeks
We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skills Technician to join a Further Education college in Stratford, East London.
This is a full-time position supporting the delivery of Multi Skills and Construction programmes. The successful candidate will work alongside teaching staff to prepare practical learning environments and ensure students have access to the tools, equipment and materials required for their sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare tools, equipment and materials for practical sessions
- Support lecturers within Construction and Multi Skills workshops
- Maintain clean, safe and organised workshop areas
- Assist with the maintenance and safe storage of tools and equipment
- Monitor materials and support with stock control
- Support students during practical activities where required
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed within practical areas
Requirements
- Practical experience within Construction, Multi Skills or a relevant trade
- Good knowledge of construction tools, materials and equipment
- A good understanding of workshop health and safety
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students
- Previous experience within a college or education setting would be beneficial but is not essential
