We are looking for a dependable and hard-working Kitchen Porter/Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment, ensuring operations run smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping spaces clean and enjoys being part of a busy team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Hygiene: Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen, including floors, work surfaces, walls, and storage areas.
- Dishwashing: Wash and sanitise all kitchen utensils, cookware, dishes, and glassware, ensuring they are ready for use.
- Equipment Care: Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Waste Disposal: Manage waste by emptying bins, disposing of rubbish correctly, and ensuring recycling is adhered to.
- Stocking and Supplies: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and assist with organising kitchen deliveries when needed.
- Compliance: Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations at all times.
- Support: Assist chefs and kitchen staff as needed during busy service periods.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Experience in a similar role is an advantage but not required – full training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety and health regulations (desirable but not essential).
