Responsibilities
- Receiving patients consulting with members of practice team
- Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patients and checking names and address.
- Ability to cover all reception positions as necessary and all the tasks associated with the reception team. This includes, and is not limited to: Incoming post, Outgoing post Emails, Task Box, Patient registrations, Recalls, GP Links
- Explain Practice arrangements and formal requirements to new patients and those seeking temporary cover and ensure procedures are completed.
- Action repeat prescription requests and ensure that they are ready for collection
- To assist patients with any other request such as providing them with updates about
- Communicate effectively with patients
Experience:
- Experience of working within a health care setting desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
- Experience of clerical and administrative work
- Experience and good understanding of operating Microsoft Office including Word,
- Experience of working in a GP practice
- Excellent organisational skills meticulous with good time management
- Ability to work alone and part of a team and promote a good team spirit
- Ability to make decisions, use own initiative
- Positive attitude & self-motivated

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
