Housekeeping Assistant required for a long-running and well-established 52-bedroom, 4-star, country house hotel in the spectacular mid-Wales countryside.
* Live-in accommodation available for those willing to relocate. A housekeeping couple (one housekeeping and one front/back of house) can also be accommodated in a private room.
Our exceptional housekeeping team has a vacancy for an energetic and enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant. Our housekeepers proudly deliver high standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel's public areas and our beautiful guest accommodation.
Please note although useful, we are not looking for any previous experience for this role as full training will be given.
Duties
- Clean and sanitise all designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces
- Change bed linens and organise supplies as needed
- Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and dust surfaces to ensure a high standard of cleanliness
- Restock toiletries, towels, and cleaning supplies regularly
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning or window washing when required
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client requests courteously and professionally
Skills
- Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory
- Basic cooking skills are considered an advantage for roles involving meal preparation or kitchen upkeep
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning standards are met
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour to deliver exceptional customer service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and punctuality
