Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our skilled team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bespoke furniture fabrication and assembly, with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship. This role offers an opportunity to work on high-quality projects, utilising advanced carpentry skills and a variety of hand and power tools. The successful applicant will contribute to creating customised cabinetry solutions that meet precise specifications and client expectations.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble bespoke cabinets, furniture, and specialised woodwork according to detailed plans and specifications
- Operate a range of hand tools, power tools, and joinery equipment safely and efficiently
- Measure, cut, shape, and finish wood components with precision
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design layouts to ensure accurate construction
- Perform quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to maintain high standards
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely delivery of customised pieces
- Assist with site installation when required, ensuring secure fitting and finishing touches are completed to a professional standard
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and joinery within a carpentry or cabinet-making environment
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as chisels, saws, planes, and clamps
- Skilled in operating power tools including drills, routers, sanders, and saws
- Strong understanding of carpentry principles, joinery techniques, and wood properties
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy materials
- Excellent attention to detail coupled with organisational skills
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
- Driving licence/own transport essential
