We are seeking an experienced HSQE Specialist to lead and develop our Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental systems while ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulatory and legal requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our strategic objectives, protecting our people and environment, and driving operational excellence across the business.
As our HSQE Specialist, you will take ownership of compliance programmes, ISO management systems, REACH obligations, and quality assurance activities, ensuring the business continues to operate to the highest standards while fostering a proactive culture of safety, quality and environmental responsibility.
About the Role
As our HSQE Specialist, you will take ownership of compliance programmes across manufacturing, ISO management systems, and REACH obligations, helping to ensure that our site continues to operate to the highest standards. Working closely with teams across the business, you will champion best practice, lead audits and training initiatives, and drive continual improvement in safety, quality, and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain HSQE policies, procedures and compliance programmes.
- Lead and manage ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance and certification activities.
- Take ownership of REACH compliance requirements and associated regulatory obligations.
- Ensure compliance with EU/EEA obligations including:
- Registration of substances with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) where required.
- Provision of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and safety information to downstream users.
- Assessment and management of chemical substance risks.
- Monitoring and control of restricted substances, including management of SVHC authorisations where applicable.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential regulatory and compliance risks.
- Plan and conduct internal audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Lead health, safety and environmental programmes across the site.
- Investigate incidents and implement preventative and corrective actions.
- Deliver engaging HSQE training to employees at all levels.
- Monitor, analyse and report on compliance and performance metrics.
- Manage the health and safety budget and ensure ongoing regulatory adherence.
- Lead the Quality Team to deliver supplier and customer quality KPIs.

Pay: £46,000.00-£56,000.00 per year

Experience:
- regulated manufacturing or industrial environment: 5 years (required)
- HSQE/HSEQ role: 5 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification. (required)
