Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Toddler Room Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children aged between 12 months and 3 years. Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Supervise and support toddlers during play, meal times, nappy changes, and rest periods
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages children's independence and confidence
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's wellbeing and developmental milestones
- Ensure the safety and hygiene standards are consistently upheld within the nursery setting
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment focused on high-quality childcare
- Assist in organising educational resources and maintaining the cleanliness of the toddler room
Requirements
- Proven experience with children, particularly within nursery or early childhood settings
- Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily activities effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage positively with children, parents, and team members
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices in childcare
- Childcare qualifications or relevant nursery experience are highly desirable
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation if required
- Ability to work flexibly within operational hours to meet the needs of the nursery environment
