Positive Steps Care & support are looking for a caring, reliable and confident Support Worker to support a wheelchair user with their day-to-day needs. The role involves personal care, support with getting ready for bed before a sleeping shift, and helping the client get out and enjoy activities in the community on Saturdays.
The ideal person will be patient, respectful and approachable, with a genuine desire to support someone to maintain their independence and enjoy an active lifestyle. A full UK driving licence is essential, as the client provides access to their own vehicle for community activities.
Requirements for the position
- The successful candidates will be active, enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude who is prepared to facilitate the community-based rehabilitation programme as directed by the MDT.
- A full clean driving licence is required.
- A minimum of 6 months health and social care experience is required for this role, however transferable skills and personal experience will be considered.
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Follow care plans meticulously and document all care provided accurately and promptly

- Friday 20:00 - 22:00 into Sleep until 0900
- Saturday 20:00 - 22:00 into Sleep until 09:00
- Week 2
- 09:00 - 22:00 into Sleep until 09:00
