Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. Duties
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Assist with mobility and lifting when necessary to ensure client safety.
- Support clients with daily activities, promoting independence while ensuring their safety.
- Maintain a clean and organised living environment for clients.
- Support clients to appointments or social activities as required.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Document care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Perform first aid as needed in emergency situations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in residential care or assisted living is preferred but not essential.
- A background in relevant healthcare qualifications is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Capability to perform lifting and assist with physical mobility tasks.
- Knowledge of meal preparation and dietary requirements is beneficial.
- First aid certification is desirable but can be obtained upon hiring.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
