Summary of Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Team Leader to join our Production team which manufactures, tests and delivers high-quality, control panel solutions for national infrastructure projects in accordance with a range of standards and regulations.
The Production Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing multiple different projects builds at once and will require a high level of versatility and flexibility. The Production Team leader will work with the Production Scheduler to ensure the project manufacturing and test miles stones are identified and the required activities are completed to achieve the timely delivery to our customers.
The ideal candidate will have a previously managed production teams and a have experience of control panel build with some understanding the electrical design.
Main Activities
Planning and coordinating the daily activities of the production team to meet the required milestones
Supervising the build of several different projects at once to ensure production deadlines are met.
Maintaining and checking production records and documentation.
Monitoring build quality standards to ensure they are maintained for the panels and equipment produced
Train, mentor and develop production staff to meet the changing needs of the business
Train, mentor and develop apprentices to ensure compliance with their apprenticeship requirements
Ensure a good health and safety culture is maintained and compliance with the required standards is met
Monitor production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
Maintain a “right first time” culture which this is fully understood by the team.
Personal Specification
Previous experience in leading team.
Previous experience of working within production.
Experience of working in an electrical industry
A positive can-do attitude and ability to collaborate well with different business areas.
Have a general knowledge of and the ability to confidently use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
