Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday | 5:00pm – 2:00am (Flexibility required)
About the Role
GenTech Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Night Shift Warehouse Manager to join a leading temperature-controlled warehouse operation based in Lough Egish, Co. Monaghan.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proven warehouse leader to take ownership of a busy night shift operation, driving performance, developing teams and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and customer service.
The Role
As the Night Shift Warehouse Manager, you will lead the warehouse operation throughout the night, ensuring all inbound, outbound and internal warehouse activities are completed safely, efficiently and on schedule.
You will be responsible for maximising productivity, maintaining stock accuracy, supporting your team and ensuring operational targets are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop the night shift warehouse team.
- Deliver warehouse performance against productivity and operational KPIs.
- Plan resources to ensure all warehouse activities are completed efficiently.
- Conduct daily team briefings covering performance, Health & Safety, operational updates and shift priorities.
- Ensure all goods are received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately.
- Oversee vehicle movements, warehouse bookings and internal stock movements.
- Maintain accurate stock records and investigate any inventory discrepancies.
- Liaise with Customer Service and other departments to resolve stock or operational issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety procedures and company standards.
- Complete detailed shift handovers and communicate operational updates effectively.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience managing or supervising a warehouse operation.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience leading and motivating warehouse teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused with a proactive approach.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Experience managing warehouse processes and operational performance.
- Confident making decisions and resolving issues under pressure.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
Desirable
- Experience within a temperature-controlled or food distribution environment.
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.
- Forklift licence or previous forklift experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse KPI reporting and continuous improvement.
