Artist Residence is a 20-bedroom boutique hotel with a lively bar and restaurant at its heart. We create neighbourhood spaces full of soul and good times — places where guests can settle in from breakfast through to bedtime, and from coffee to cocktails. Importantly, we are also a hotel. Our bedrooms, guest experience, and operational standards matter deeply.
We’re looking for a Supervisor/Host to join our team. This role would suit someone with experience hosting in a bar, restaurant, or boutique hospitality setting who is ready to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation during their shifts.
As a Supervisor, you are responsible for the smooth running of each shift. You are a key decision-maker on site, supporting the team and ensuring both guests and operations run seamlessly.
The Role

Your responsibilities include:
Hotel Operations
- Managing guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and warmly
- Overseeing reservations, guest communications, and daily arrivals/departures
- Maintaining presentation and standards across rooms and public areas
- Handling guest queries, complaints and problem-solving with confidence
Food & Beverage Leadership
- Leading front-of-house service from breakfast through to evening drinks
- Supporting bar and restaurant service when required
- Ensuring smooth communication between kitchen, bar and floor
- Maintaining service standards and atmosphere
Team & Administration
- Acting as Supervisor for the shift
- Leading and supporting the team on the floor
- Completing cash-ups, daily reports and basic admin
- Ensuring clear handovers between shifts

We’re ideally looking for someone with:
- Experience running shifts in a Bar & Restaurant or small hotel
- Supervisory or hosting experience in hospitality
- Confidence making decisions and handling issues independently
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure
- A warm, natural hosting style
