Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior CAD Designer to join our dynamic design team. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about civil engineering, construction, and architectural design to develop their skills using industry-standard CAD software. The successful candidate will contribute to a variety of projects, supporting senior designers and engineers in creating precise technical drawings and schematics. Duties
- Assist in creating detailed 2D and 3D CAD models using mainly SolidWorks.
- Develop accurate schematics and technical drawings aligned with project specifications and industry standards.
- Support the preparation of construction documents and presentation materials.
- Collaborate with project teams to review designs, ensuring compliance with client requirements and safety regulations.
- Incorporate feedback from senior designers to refine drawings and models.
- Maintain organised digital files of all CAD projects for easy retrieval and version control.
- Assist in site visits when necessary to gather data or verify existing conditions for accurate modelling.
Experience
- Prior experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks or SolidWorks is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of construction processes and experience in civil engineering or architectural drafting will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with schematics development and technical documentation is preferred.
- A background in construction or related fields demonstrating practical understanding of building processes is beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards learning new software tools and industry practices.

Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
