We're looking for an experienced and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our leadership team on a fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover.
This is an operational leadership role where you'll work alongside the Registered Manager to support the day-to-day running of a busy home care service. You'll play a key role in leading the team, maintaining high standards of care and ensuring clients continue to receive safe, person-centred support.

About the role
Working closely with the Registered Manager, you'll help provide leadership across the branch by:
- Supporting the safe and effective day-to-day running of the service.
- Leading, coaching and developing carers and office staff.
- Managing client care, quality, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
- Handling operational issues, performance concerns and difficult conversations with professionalism and fairness.
- Using audits, systems and performance information to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
- Building positive relationships with clients, families, professionals and the wider team.
- Participating in the paid management on-call rota (currently one week in four).

What you'll bring
Essential:
- Experience in a leadership or management role within health or social care.
- Good understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding and quality assurance.
- Experience leading teams, managing performance and supporting staff development.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Desirable:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Adult Care (or willingness to work towards).
- Experience within domiciliary care.
