Responsibilities
- Prepare metal parts for coating by cleaning, masking, and sanding as needed to ensure optimal adhesion.
- Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, booths, and curing ovens, following safety protocols.
- Apply powder coatings evenly using hand tools and power tools to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish.
- Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies, making adjustments or rework as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient workflow.
- Assist with fabrication, assembly, or other related tasks to support production goals when required.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment during operations.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment confidently.
- Experience with fabrication processes, assembly, and construction painting techniques.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
- Warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding inventory handling and material movement.
- Familiarity with the use of welding tools and techniques to support finishing processes.
- Ability to work with construction painting methods and understand surface preparation standards.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes on coated products.
