Front of House Manager
Full Time – £34,000-£37,000 (DOE) plus Tronc
Do you thrive in a luxury hospitality environment and take pride in creating exceptional experiences for every guest and client? We’re looking for an experienced, passionate Front of House Manager to lead our talented FOH team and play a key role in delivering outstanding events at The Exchange.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional with a background in luxury hotels, premium events or high-end service, who is ready to bring energy and an exceptional eye for detail to a unique city centre events venue.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the daily operations of the front of house department
- Lead from the front during events, supervising the team throughout service
- Work closely with senior managers to ensure the smooth running of each event across all departments
- Adapt to each event, from weddings to corporate functions, while maintaining the same standard of service across the banqueting team
- Create and maintain clear standards covering room layouts, room dressing, food service, set-up, breakdowns and storage
- Monitor and constantly improve every detail of the front of house team and service
- Review function sheets and planning documents to determine staffing requirements and staff deployment
- Carry out regular stock checks, including the management of linen and glassware stock
- Help create and implement structured training for new and existing staff
- Work with external suppliers when needed
- Create and enforce high standards of cleanliness throughout the department
- Taking responsibility as Duty Manager and Key Holder as and when required
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Previous experience in a front of house/ F&B management or senior front of house role
- Experience in an events venue and proven experience delivering large scale events in a luxury venue
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team while leading from the front
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events
- A passion for high-quality customer service
- Understanding of cost control through stock ordering within budget constraints
- Experience with staff rotas and delegation of tasks as well as training and development of staff
- High attention to detail
- Previous experience in weddings is highly desirable
