Temporary Data and Information Officer (6-month fixed term)
Sense College Loughborough
Are you passionate about using data to make a real difference? Do you enjoy turning information into meaningful insight that supports decision-making and improves outcomes? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
Sense College Loughborough is a specialist Further Education (FE) college for young people with a wide range of disabilities. We are committed to supporting every student to become as independent as possible and achieve their long-term goals through personalised education and support.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Data and Information Officer to join our team on a six-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover.
In this key role, you will manage the College's Management Information System (MIS) and wider data systems, ensuring the accuracy, integrity and security of our data. You will be responsible for submitting critical Department for Education and ESFA returns, producing insightful reports and dashboards, and providing timely, meaningful information that supports strategic decision-making, funding compliance and continuous improvement across the College.
We're also looking for someone who is excited by innovation. You'll have the opportunity to help develop our reporting processes, explore the use of Power BI, automation and AI, and improve the way data is used across the College to drive efficiency and insight.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Has experience working with databases, Microsoft 365 and advanced Excel (Power BI experience is desirable).
- Can present complex data in a clear and accessible way.
- Enjoys improving systems and finding smarter ways of working.
- Works collaboratively while managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.
Experience of ILR returns or working in Further Education is desirable but not essential.
At Sense, we believe in creating opportunities for everyone. If you feel you're the right person for this role but don't quite meet every essential criterion, we'd still encourage you to apply. We'd love the opportunity to consider your application and the skills and experience you could bring to our team.
