HGV Mobile Technician Role Description
We are seeking a Mobile HGV Technician to join our team to bring vehicle maintenance and repairs in house to keep our ever growing fleet of vehicles roadworthy and to a high standard. Travelling between our sites in Basingstoke, Dunstable, Peterborough and Northampton.. You will be responsible for ensuring our vehicles meet the highest possible standard of road worthiness including breakdowns..
We are the UKs largest HGV training School operating over 15 sites across the country with a fleet of over 100 vehicles.
This is a chance for the right candidate to be at the forefront of developing the motor vehicle engineering side of the business.
Duties will include:
-Managing your own time based on a 42.5 Hour week. Usually between the hours of 6am and 3pm (OT will be paid at the normal rate)
-Travelling between our sites in Basingstoke, Dunstable, Peterborough and Northampton., you will be responsible for repairs and maintenance of vehicles on site. Collecting parts where necessary for vehicle repairs
-MOT preparations and presentation.
-PMI 6 weekly inspections and defect rectification to the highest quality standards
-Running repairs of both Trucks and Trailers
-Diagnostics and rectification of various vehicles models including DAF, Renault, Mercedes, Schmitz, BPW, SAF trailer axle configurations
-Completing all required paperwork to a high standard
-Face to face dealings/communications with customers and employees.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £20.60 per hour
