Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sunday League Football Club Photographer to capture high-quality images of our matches, players, and club events. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a love for football to contribute to our club’s visual storytelling. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing engaging content suitable for social media, promotional materials, and match archives, helping to enhance the club’s profile within the community.
Responsibilities
- Attend Sunday league matches and club events to photograph players, coaches, and spectators in action.
- Utilise professional photography equipment to capture dynamic and compelling images that reflect the energy of the game.
- Edit photographs using software such as Adobe Photoshop and Capture One to ensure optimal colour correction, cropping, and overall presentation.
- Manage social media platforms by posting timely updates, match photos, and promotional content to engage supporters and followers.
- Create short video clips or highlight reels using Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro for post-match summaries or promotional purposes.
- Collaborate with club management to understand specific photographic needs for marketing campaigns or club documentation.
- Maintain an organised archive of all images and videos for easy retrieval and future use.
Experience
- Proven experience in sports photography, preferably within football or similar team sports environments.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications including Photoshop, Premiere, and other relevant tools such as Capture One and Final Cut Pro.
- Strong skills in photo editing, colour grading, and video editing to produce polished visual content.
- Experience managing social media accounts with an understanding of content scheduling and audience engagement strategies.
- Knowledge of journalism or storytelling through imagery is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work independently during matches while maintaining a professional attitude under pressure.
- A genuine interest in football combined with creative flair will be highly valued. This role offers an excellent platform for aspiring sports photographers to develop their portfolio while supporting a vibrant community football club.
