Take on the role of our Warehouse Operative and report to our Branch Manager supporting KPI achievement across the team.
Your primary tasks will be

You will receive, check and process all goods in and out of the warehouse, ensuring quantity and quality are accurate and fully aligned with company procedures.

You will prepare customer and site orders by picking, packing, and dispatching items safely, efficiently, and with great attention to detail.

You will operate the Spiral Forming Machine to produce spirally wound tube to the required company specification, ensuring lock seams are secure, end treatments are completed correctly, and products are safe to handle.

You will conduct routine inspections, maintenance tasks and record keeping for the Spiral Forming Machine, ensuring maintenance logs are kept up to date and available for inspection at all times.

You will report any machine breakdowns, damage, repair requirements or safety concerns to the Branch Manager and relevant maintenance teams, supporting maintenance activities where required.

You will ensure all machine safety guards are fitted and used correctly, while adhering to all Health & Safety policies, risk assessments, safe systems of work, and PPE requirements.

You will maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment, including following spill control procedures and promptly cleaning any cutting fluid spills or build-up.

You will be responsible for maintaining stock accuracy, storing items safely, assisting with stock counts, and accurately recording raw materials and finished spiral tube products during stock takes.

You may also support our trade counter by professionally handling customer enquiries, processing orders and taking payments to ensure a positive customer experience.
- You will operate warehouse equipment, including pallet trucks and forklifts (where trained), whilst always following safe operating procedures and company Health & Safety requirements.
Are you our new colleague?
You are a friendly individual with strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including goods receiving, order picking, and stock handling. You have an excellent understanding of safe manual handling and warehouse processes, and you have experience working in a busy warehouse environment. It’s an advantage if you have operated forklifts (Reach and/or Counterbalance) or previously supported trade counter activities.
As a person, you are detail‑oriented and take pride in accurate, high‑quality work. You are also physically capable, safety‑conscious, and enjoy working as part of a reliable, supportive team. In your way of working, you are organised, efficient, and committed to maintaining a safe and tidy workspace.

What you bring

Experience operating manufacturing or production equipment would be advantageous.

Understanding of machine maintenance, inspection checks and production quality standards.

Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements relating to machinery, moving parts, PPE, and housekeeping.

Ability to accurately complete production and maintenance records.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality products safely

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 4pm with 30-minutes for luch, 41.5 hour working work
