Iris Care Group has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Nurse (RMN) to join the dedicated team at St Peter’s Hospital, Newport — a specialist neuropsychiatric hospital providing inpatient mental health treatment, rehabilitation and specialist nursing care for adults with a diverse range of mental health conditions, neuropsychiatric needs, acquired brain injury, complex neurological disorders, and forensic and psychiatric complexities.
At St Peter’s Hospital, our multidisciplinary team works together to deliver person-centred, evidence-based care in a therapeutic inpatient environment. We support individuals who may be informal patients, detained under the Mental Health Act, subject to the Mental Capacity Act, or require specialist support due to complex risk, behavioural, cognitive, emotional or psychiatric presentations.

About the role
· Provide safe, effective and compassionate nursing care in line with professional standards and organisational policies.
· Support care planning, risk assessment, physical health monitoring, medication management and therapeutic engagement.
· Work collaboratively with patients, families, carers, commissioners and the wider multidisciplinary team.
· Promote recovery, rehabilitation, positive behaviour support and least restrictive practice.
· Act as a positive role model, supporting colleagues and helping to maintain a respectful, safe and therapeutic environment.
About you
· Registered Mental Health Nurse with an active NMC registration.
· Passionate about delivering high-quality mental health care in a specialist inpatient setting.
· Confident, caring and resilient, with strong communication and teamworking skills.
· Committed to supporting individuals with complex mental health, neuropsychiatric, cognitive, behavioural and forensic needs.
· Motivated to learn, grow and contribute to a positive and therapeutic hospital culture.
What will you receive?
- Annual salary of £40,792.44 - £46,482.02 (depending on experience)
